Great Content Against Great Marketing, Which Works Best?

Now these are two things that has to work together. The question is, can one succeed without the other.

When you read most online experts they always inform you that "Content Is King". And why I agree with this, I also come to realize that great content can become "missing in action" if it's not ranking well in the search engine.

I have found some of the best articles on pages 6,7, and 8 of Google, and you have to ask yourself why is that. Well, I will tell you. They are not very good marketers. Even though they may have the best articles, nobody reads them because they don't rank well with the search engines.

If you are a beginner and wondering why you are not getting traffic to your site, it may be because you have not market those articles well and therefore they are being ignored in the search results.

So before you write a thousand articles, I challenge you to write five articles around your keywords and do nothing but market those articles. If you do this you will see those articles start climbing up in the search engines and the traffic will start to flow.

When it comes to marketing, you need to be focused on a targeted audience. Facebook and Youtube can bring a large audience to your website in a matter of minutes to days. Just make sure if you're using Facebook to make a separate account from your personal account. The people you want reading your articles are people that are interested in your topic and not just your friends and family.

When used properly, Youtube videos on your topic can go viral. If you place a link to your website below each video, you could receive a massive amount of traffic quickly.

Now to answer the question above, I don't think a website with great content can succeed without great marketing.
